Osteopathy

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy aimed at relieving pain, stiffness and soreness in the muscular and skeletal system.

Our osteopaths like to find the cause of your pain so that they can not only relieve your pain, but help you find ways to manage it better in the future.

All our osteopaths are 5 years university trained and have many years at the coalface in private practice helping people just like you.

Myotherapy

Myotherapy

Myotherapy is a form of manual therapy more focused on the muscles and fascia connecting those muscles. Some pain and injury problems are held deep in the muscular system and this is where Myotherapists come into their own.

Myotherapists and osteopaths complement each other nicely in practice, and that is why since we started in 2006 we have always had a “myo” on board.

Biodynamic OSTEOPATHY

Biodynamic OSTEOPATHY

This is a branch of Osteopathy based on the principle that we are constantly unfolding and renewing, and that the body has its own inherent healing mechanisms. Using this approach, the Osteopath continually works to help bring the body to a resting place or balance point, where the body can then work towards returning to its original healthy state.

Biodynamic and Cranial Osteopathy both focus on how well our body functions as one cohesive unit, as opposed to how separate areas of the body are performing. We think of it like a gentle rhythm that can be felt throughout the body. This subtle form of treatment is frequently used with babies and children, who usually quickly settle once treatment has begun. It is also often associated with chronic and complex conditions, but really is just a different approach that can be applied to any complaint you would normally consult an osteopath for.
