Osteopathy is one of the oldest forms of manual
medicine, developed in the United States in the 19th Century. Currently in Australia, Osteopathy is emerging rapidly as a major treatent provider for muscular and skeletal complaints.

Osteopaths are like mechanics for your body. They look to restore and maintain alignment and balance in the joints and muscles of the body. This in turn allows the body to function optimally.

Osteopaths use some or all of the following techniques:
muscle release techniques, joint manipulation, joint and muscles stretching, joint mobilisation, nerve release techniques and cranial osteopathy.

Osteopathy is covered by most private health funds under extras cover and Workcover, DVA and TAC treatments are available. Osteopaths are also qualified
to request spinal X-Rays or refer to other health professionals for further specialised care.
